RENTER INFORMATION – REQUIRED BEFORE PICKUP
Before picking up the trailer, the following must be completed:
– Driver’s license and current insurance information must be texted to 208-600-1212
– This rental agreement must be electronically signed
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The renter assumes all responsibility for the trailer the moment the lockbox is opened and must abide by the following safety instructions:
– Use a 2-5/16” hitch ball. A 2” ball is too small and unsafe.
– Use a vehicle rated to safely tow the total loaded weight of the trailer.
– Inspect the trailer prior to use. Check tires for damage or debris, and adjust trailer brake controller for safe braking and to prevent flat spots.
LATE RETURN FEES (FIRM)
-30-minute grace period
-After that, $50 for every 30 minutes late
-If your late return affects the next rental, a full additional day will be charged at your trailer’s daily rate
RENTAL PERIOD
Each 1-day rental allows for up to 24 hours only if booked for the full 24 hours. If you select a shorter return window, that becomes your deadline. Late return rules apply after that time.
EXTENSIONS
– Extensions are not guaranteed — trailers are often booked back-to-back.
– If a trailer is available, we’re happy to extend your rental period.
– If the extension request is made after the trailer is already late, late fees still apply.
– Multi-day rentals extended to 1 week more than 4 hours after original pickup time will be charged the 5-day rate instead of the discounted 4-day prepayment rate.
EARLY RETURNS
No refund or credit for early returns.
CANCELLATION POLICY
25% of the booking total is non-refundable. Cancel at least 72 hours before pickup to receive a 75% refund. No refunds within 72 hours of scheduled pickup.
CREDIT CARD ON FILE
You authorize Ida Rentals LLC dba IdaRent to charge the card on file for:
– Rental extensions
– Damage or lost items
– Late return fees or cleaning fees
TIRE DAMAGE & REPAIRS
You are responsible for any tire damage or repairs during the rental period. IdaRent is not liable for tire issues during your rental. You may contact your preferred tire service or reach out to IdaRent for assistance (at your expense).
Even if the damaged tire had significant tread wear, you must replace it at your own expense with a new tire of equal size, quality, and ply rating. IdaRent will not reimburse for the cost of a partially used tire.
CLEANING & DAMAGE
Normal wear is included.
A minimum $40 cleaning fee will apply for trailers returned dirty, muddy, or with debris.
Additional charges of $40/hour may be applied for extensive cleaning, plus any car wash or disposal fees.
A separate trash disposal fee may apply if material is left inside the trailer.
MALFUNCTION OR SAFETY CONCERNS
If the trailer is not operating correctly or seems unsafe, stop using it immediately and contact IdaRent. Continuing to operate a malfunctioning trailer may result in additional damage and liability.
PROHIBITED USES
– Any unlawful purpose
– Off-road driving
– Racing or towing in a reckless manner
– Transporting hazardous or flammable materials
ACCIDENTS OR THEFT
You must notify IdaRent and local law enforcement within 1 hour of any accident, theft, or major damage.
INSPECTION PHOTOS
You are encouraged to take timestamped photos of the trailer at pickup and return. These may be used to verify the trailer’s condition in the event of a dispute.
TRAILER LOCATION
IdaRent reserves the right to confirm pickup, verify return, or recover overdue trailers using GPS or tracking devices for logistical purposes.
RESERVATIONS
Reservations must be prepaid. Past-due rentals or charges will incur fees as outlined above.
AUTHORIZED AGENTS
You may send someone else (employee, agent, etc.) to pick up the trailer. That person must provide a driver’s license and current insurance information, which can be texted to 208-600-1212. Responsibility for the trailer remains with you, the renter.
TOWING REQUIREMENTS
– Use a vehicle rated to tow the trailer’s loaded weight
– Use a 2-5/16” ball (no exceptions)
– IdaRent may decline a pickup if your tow vehicle is deemed unsafe
TRAILER RECOVERY
If IdaRent must retrieve a trailer due to non-return, non-payment, abandonment, or breach of this agreement, you agree to pay a recovery fee as follows:
– $200 + $1/mile (round-trip) for retrievals within 50 miles
– $400 + $1/mile (round-trip) for retrievals 51–100 miles
– $1000 + $1/mile (round-trip) for anything beyond 100 miles
TRAILER SPECS & SUITABILITY
It is solely the renter’s responsibility to verify that the trailer meets the dimensions, load capacity, and specifications required for their intended use. IdaRent does not guarantee that any trailer will fit or function for specific vehicles, equipment, or other cargo. By renting a trailer, you agree that you have independently confirmed it is suitable for your needs. No refunds or liability will be issued for issues related to trailer size, capacity, or compatibility.
LIABILITY & TERMS
By signing this agreement and/or connecting an IdaRent trailer to your tow vehicle — whether by you, an employee, an agent, or anyone acting on your behalf — you accept full responsibility for the trailer. You:
– Assume all risk of damage, injury, death, or loss
– Accept full liability for safe and proper use
– Acknowledge that hazards may arise from improper use, equipment failure, acts of nature, or operator error — even if IdaRent was unaware of the risk
– Agree to indemnify and hold harmless IdaRent, its owners, agents, and employees from all claims, damages, losses, and expenses — including those arising from IdaRent’s own negligence — to the fullest extent permitted by Idaho law
– Agree to pay any attorney fees and collection costs associated with enforcing this agreement
These terms are binding once presented and signed.
